Chuck knew the country-living environment from his youth and in 1998, after retiring he wanted to give Norma, a city dweller for most of her life, an opportunity to find this rewarding way of living. Since they both had planes for which hangar-rent had become a way of life, they set out to enjoy ”living-with-their-planes.”

They bought a portion of the Classen family farm with runway and decided to make it a residential airport.  A new runway was built and recertified to public airport standards. The old runway, established by Chuck’s dad in 1946, became the parallel taxi-way and your access to the new airport.

Within a few months they settled into their new home on Lot 3. Lights were added and in 2003, the County approved Centennial Heights, an airport subdivision just 3/4 mile from the village of Danforth, Illinois.

We are excited about the possibility of new neighbors and friends who will be able to join our new neighborhood for the best living, ever.

Your lot is waiting for you and your new home.

Living-with-your-plane, a life altering experience…

to be sure, and gratifying  at that!
